About this Event
East Side Coastal Resiliency (ESCR) is reimagining East River Park as coastal protection infrastructure protecting more than 100,000 New Yorkers. The project team and designers will discuss the challenges and opportunities of building large-scale resilience along Manhattan’s waterfront.
The tour will meet at Corlears Hook Park at the foot of the pedestrian bridge on the Corlears Hook side of FDR Drive, and then will head towards the East River Park amphitheater and promenade walking north towards Delancey Street Bridge.
The available restrooms are portasans and one Parks building restroom at the beginning of the tour. This walking tour takes place outdoors by the water. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
Attendees should be aware that the site tour involves a substantial amount of walking and participants should be prepared for that by participating.
