PHILADELPHIA

BALTIMORE

LODGING
We will be staying in a vacation house near Baltimore, with 5 bedrooms, 5 beds (3 queen/double beds, 2 single beds), 3 baths, a dedicated workspace, 1 full kitchen& 1 kitchenette, & 1 living room & 1 sitting area. We will max out at 9 people. The house is 20 minutes drive to Baltimore's Inner Harbor, and 1 mile from historic Ellicott City and from downtown Catonsville
Features: An acre of property, big backyard, quiet & peaceful, patio, free WiFi, TV with Netflix, microwave, hair dryer, washer & dryer.
Essential Provided: Bed sheets, conditioner, soap and toilet paper
DEPARTURE/RETURN SCHEDULE
Depart Date: Nov 9th, 2024 Saturday. Please arrive 15 minutes earlier. Van will depart sharply on time with or without you.
Depart 6:30 AM from Queens: (Across street from Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel) 135-20 39th Ave, Flushing, NY 11354 (Map). Subway lines (Main St-Flushing): 7.
Depart 7:10 AM from NYC: (ViVi Bubble Tea) Corner of 43rd St and 9th Ave New York, NY 10036 (Map) Subway lines (Times Sq-42 St): A, C, E, 1, 2, 3, 7, N, Q, R, S.
Return Date/Time: Depart Nov 10th from DC around 5:00 PM and expect to arrive at NYC at 9:30 PM & Queens at 10:00 PM
TENTATIVE PLAN (Plan may vary depending on weather among other factors)
Day 1: New York City to Philadelphia
Morning:
· Depart NYC early (around 7:10 AM) to maximize our day.
· Drive to Philadelphia (approximately 1.5-2 hours).
Mid-Morning:
· Independence National Historical Park: Visit the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall (45 mins).
Afternoon:
· Philadelphia Museum of Art: Famous for the “Rocky Steps.” ($30; Just visit outside)
· Lunch: Try a Philly cheesesteak at Pat’s or Geno’s (40 mins).
Late Afternoon:
· Drive to Baltimore (approximately 2 hours)
· Inner Harbor: Spectacular waterfront vista, dynamic music concerts & ritzy seafood joints (20-30 mins)
· Art Museum: Be Inspired for Free at the American Visionary Art Museum (Outside: 15 mins)
· Fort McHenry: Take a Free Tour of Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine (Outside: 15 mins)
Evening:
· Dinner: Enjoy a meal at one of the local restaurants.
· Drive to the house (approximately 20 minutes).
Day 2: Washington, D.C.
Morning:
· National Mall: Visit iconic landmarks like the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument (outside), and the U.S. Capitol (outside)(Total: 90 minutes).
· Smithsonian Museums (Free): Choose one or two museums to explore (e.g., National Museum of American History, National Air and Space Museum)(90 mins).
Afternoon:
· Lunch: Enjoy a meal at a local café or food truck (40 mins).
· White House: View from the outside. Visit White House Visitor Center (30 mins)
Late Afternoon:
· Tidal Basin: Walk around and see the Jefferson Memorial and Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial. (60 mins)
· Optional 1: Inside visit The National Archives (free: 30 mins)
· Optional 2: Visit the new WWI Memorial, WWII Memorial, Korea War Veterans Memorial & Vietnam Veterans Memorial, or Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial
Evening:
· Drive back to NYC (approximately 4-5 hours).

Early Birds: $169.99 per person for first 4 spots or 7 days in advance whichever comes first. Regular: $199.99 per person afterward. Upgrading from shared queen bed to own bed room is $80 extra.
Cost Included in the Trip: 1 night shared accommodation (sharing a queen/double bed) at a big vacation house. Guided tour. Round trip transportation from NYC area & tolls, daily transportation between the house & activity destinations, & parking fee if any. $10 service charge is required & will be collected on the returning trip.
Cost Not Included in the Trip: * Any paid attractions in the destination cities; * Meals, snacks & drinks;
