Mexican electronic music pioneers Bostich + Fussible bring their 25th anniversary tour to The Crescent. As founding members of the Nortec Collective, they invented a genre in the late 1990s, blending electronic music with the brass and accordion traditions of northern Mexico to produce a lively, festive sound that celebrates Mexican music while filling up the dancefloor.Emerging from Tijuana’s border culture, their music draws on techno, electro and house alongside the driving rhythms of Mexican Banda, Norteño, Cumbia, and other regional styles. Tubas, trumpets and accordions share the space with sequencers and drum machines, inviting a party in which nobody can stand still.
For this special occasion, live instruments are added to the stage in a sequence that narrates the evolution of their sound, giving each moment its precise time and space. Get ready for a dense, rhythmic interplay between electronic patterns and live instrumentation, where loops, baselines and brass melodies fill up the dancefloor, making energy emerge from tradition and modernity.
Grammy-nominated and with appearances at festivals including Glastonbury (UK), Roskilde (Denmark), and Coachella (USA), as well as stages from the Royal Festival Hall (UK) to the Palacio de Bellas Artes (Mexico), Bostic + Fussible have taken this border-born sound around the world. This show offers a rare chance to experience it in a more intimate UK setting, marking 25 years of a project that continues to reshape how Mexican and Latin music is perceived worldwide.
