We welcome you to an evening full of new exciting organ music where the three composers Johan Jøker, Malina Midera and Emil Mark, will perform all new music for organ. They will perform their own compositions, and invite the attendees into an explorative, focused and meditative listening experience.
All three have backgrounds in electronic music, piano and sound art, therefore they have a very curious and experimental approach to the instrument. This results in playful and creative compositions, that displays the organ in new ways.

Johan Jøker:
Johan Jøker will present some of his works composed in Christians Kirke, written specifically for their organ during the winter of 2025. His work explores the mechanical and textural qualities of the organ through its MIDI capabilities. Fast rhythmic patterns combined with slow-moving harmonies forms a vibrant yet hypnotic sound.

Malina Midera:
Malina Midera will present several organ pieces composed last year, which will appear on her upcoming solo release. The program blends composed material with improvisation, creating a dialogue between structure and flow. In her organ works, Malina explores a minimalist approach to improvisation, focusing on subtle textures, repetition, and the playful sonic possibilities of the church organ.

Emil Mark:
Emil Mark will present music from his debut EP Mellemtid, released on the label Tonal Union in march. The EP presents playful, arpeggiating melodies that combine in intricate forms and build the music up architecturally layer by layer. For this concert I have explored the possibilities of playing the organ via Midi, which allows me to control the organ with my computer. I have adapted and rearranged the tracks from Mellemtid to be presented specifically on the organ in Christian Kirke.
