Nessi Gomes is a songwriter shaped by edges, cultural, emotional, the places inside us that don't clean up easily. Born to Madeiran parents in Guernsey, she grew up between languages, between islands, between identities. Her music carries Portuguese saudade ~ that exquisite longing for beauty just beyond reach.
Nessi creates music that walks you into the fullness of being human, the longing, the beauty, the ache, the joy. All of it welcome. Trained in Creative Expressive Therapies and certified as a Holistic Voice Practitioner, she's guided thousands through her Vocal Odyssey retreats.
Her debut album Diamonds & Demons is "hauntingly atmospheric with lushly textured nods to Björk & Kate Bush" - The Guardian. Currently writing her second album, she's leaning even deeper into the raw, honest beauty of the human experience.
She's shared stages and recordings with Sam Lee, Estas Tonne, Peia, Ayla Nereo, Danit, Ajeet and more. Her work has been featured in the award-winning film Listen (Oscar-nominated) and the Fantastic Fungi soundtrack.
