[Dutch below]The cultural event NDSM Get Lost is getting a new look! From 2024, four parties at the shipyard will join forces on one Thursday evening for an artistic program. During this evening, both visitors and residents can discover what the NDSM has to offer in the cultural field, ranging from exhibitions, performances, and lectures to workshops, live music, and more.
Are you curious? Then come along to the spring edition on March 28th at Nieuw Dakota, Beautiful Distress House, Stichting NDSM-werf, and Treehouse NDSM.

Stop Motion Workshop
Sasha Herman is an artist who works with stop-motion animation. Lately, the focus of Sasha's work has been on epilepsy and ways to use animation to portray and share the stories and experiences of people with epilepsy. During the workshop, as part of the exhibition Invisible Loss, Sasha shares his knowledge about stop-motion animation. Sasha will lead a workshop where visitors can help him with his latest animation project; using painted cardboard to create stop-motion animated portraits of people speaking about their experiences of living with epilepsy.

‘It's Not You, It's Me’ exhibition
All duos in It's Not You, It's Me are now exes. Especially for this exhibition, they come together one last time to make something out of their broken hearts. Whether that happened twelve years ago, or only very recently, the pain is still palpable everywhere. Some now live on as friends, others secretly long for a reunion, and sometimes there seems to be nothing left of the love that once was.

In Not-in-my-Backyard by artist Rob Voerman, various venues are referred to: shelter, nightclub, church, and bar. The work is a response to the (over)regulation of public space in the Netherlands. Rob Voerman will be present this evening and one of the conceivable functions will be activated. | Location: former Sexyland plot, next to Beautiful Distress.

‘Tongues’ exhibition and a performance of the choir Kometen at 20h30
Using the implications of the multicultural history of Amsterdam North, Treehouse NDSM has developed an exhibition that explores spaces of in-betweenness and raises questions about what a home is. In these areas where many cultures and languages converge, how do people (re)frame their sense of self, based on where they are?The Komentenkoor is a community choir from Tuindorp Oostzaan, founded by young parents who were longing for some music and togetherness after Covid. The repertoire ranges from classical music to more popular songs. Tonight we present a collection of songs, in various languages, that reflect what our members think of as ‘being home’.

Het culturele evenement NDSM Get Lost krijgt een nieuw jasje! Vanaf 2024 bundelen vier partijen op de werf op één donderdagavond in elk seizoen hun krachten voor een kunstzinnig programma. Tijdens deze avonden kunnen zowel bezoekers als bewoners ontdekken wat de NDSM te bieden heeft op cultureel gebied, variërend van tentoonstellingen, performances en lezingen tot workshops, live-muziek en meer.

Stop Motion Workshop
Sasha Herman is een kunstenaar die werkt met stop motion animatie. De laatste tijd ligt de focus van Sasha's werk op epilepsie en manieren om animatie te gebruiken om de verhalen en ervaringen van mensen met epilepsie uit te beelden en te delen. Tijdens de workshop, als onderdeel van de tentoonstelling Onzichtbaar Verlies, deelt Sasha zijn kennis over stop motion animatie. Sasha zal een workshop leiden waarin bezoekers hem kunnen helpen met zijn nieuwste animatieproject; het gebruik van beschilderd karton om stop motion geanimeerde portretten te maken van mensen die spreken over hun ervaringen met het leven met epilepsie.

‘It's Not You, It's Me’ exhibition
Voor alle duo's in It's Not You, It's Me geldt dat ze inmiddels exen zijn. Speciaal voor deze tentoonstelling komen ze nog één keer samen om iets te maken over hun gebroken hart. Of dat nu al twaalf jaar geleden is gebeurd, of pas zeer recent, en de pijn nog overal voelbaar is. Sommigen leven nu als vrienden voort, anderen verlangen stiekem nog naar een hereniging, en soms lijkt er niets meer over van de liefde die er ooit was.

In Not-in-my-Backyard van kunstenaar Rob Voerman wordt aan verschillende functies gerefereerd: die van schuilplaats, nachtclub, kerk en bar. Het werk is een reactie op de (over)regulatie van de publieke ruimte in Nederland. Deze avond is Rob Voerman aanwezig en wordt een van de denkbare functies geactiveerd. Locatie: voormalig Sexyland plot, naast Beautiful Distress.

‘Tongues’ exhibition
Gebruikmakend van de implicaties van de multiculturele geschiedenis van Amsterdam Noord heeft Treehouse NDSM een tentoonstelling ontwikkeld die ruimtes van tussenruimte onderzoekt en vragen oproept over wat een thuis is. In deze gebieden waar vele culturen en talen samenkomen, hoe (her)formuleren mensen hun gevoel van eigenwaarde op basis van de plek waar ze zich bevinden?
