Navy Yard on the Move: Red Rover Movement's Community Scavenger Hunt

This two-hour community scavenger hunt invites teams to uncover local shops, wander through waterfront parks, and follow playful clues along the Anacostia River. Whether it’s your first Red Rover Movement scavenger hunt or you’re one of our returning pros, you’ll get our signature mix of movement, creativity, and joyful community connection — all set in the shadow of the historic Washington Navy Yard, the oldest shore establishment in the U.S. Navy.

Grab your crew of 2-6 (if solo, we'll help you find a team!) and meet us at Solace Outpost to kick things off. We’ll hand out clues, send you off exploring, and then circle back to Solace to swap stories, raise a pint, and maybe even make a few new friends.

Your participation doesn’t just join the fun — it powers it. Your $25 ticket covers the fair‑market‑value cost of the hunt for grown-ups. Kids play for free (but must be accompanied by an adult). Any optional donation you choose to add helps fuel the movement, driving Red Rover Movement’s mission to turn grown‑up fun into real opportunities for local youth — including micro‑grants that help schools, camps, and community groups break down barriers to outdoor joy.

Liability & Photo Release

By participating in the Hyattsville Community Scavenger Hunt, you acknowledge that outdoor activities involve some risk and agree to take responsibility for your own safety during the event. You release Red Rover Movement and its partners from liability for injuries or damages.

If you registered a child, you confirm that you are their parent or guardian and accept responsibility for their participation and safety during the event.

By attending, you also grant Red Rover Movement permission to use event photos or videos that may include you for nonprofit communications and promotional purposes. If you prefer not to be photographed, just let us know at check‑in and we’ll make accommodations.
