About this Event

How do you feel about the relationship between humans and nature?

“Look around, look within” is an event series in Toronto for youth (18-35) with a focus on nature appreciation, creativity, and mindfulness. Join us to collectively enhance wellbeing and strengthen connection with nature, community, and yourself.

Events may include:

  • Mindfulness nature walks where participants will be prompted to deeply observe and experience nature with their senses and emotions
  • Discussions for group reflection
  • Creative activities for personal reflection
  • Interactive sustainability workshops

The third event in the series will be held at High Park! Stay tuned for future activities.

How to find the group:

We will begin gathering at 1:45 at the High Park Subway Station Parkview Gardens exit, and the group will depart at 2pm

What to expect:

  • This will be a small group event, please RSVP. If you can no longer make it, please edit your RSVP so your spot can be released to another participant.
  • Part one: Nature and mindfulness. We will walk in the park alongside the pond, and you will be invited to observe and experience the vegetation, wildlife (e.g., ducks), and overall scenery.
  • Part two: We will discuss our thoughts and reflections on the overall theme of the event, and our experience of the nature walk. Feedback and suggestions for future locations and activities are welcome!

What to wear or bring:

  • To wear: comfortable clothes and shoes for walking (approx 1 hour). This will not be a very long or challenging walk, but expect some changes in terrain and elevation.
