About this Event
An uplifting group singing experience with Singer-songwriter Kelsey Michael.
We'll be serenading the beautiful trees of Beaumont Park.
Learn traditional and contemporary folk and nature songs by ear to sing with the trees. Sing songs of shady bowers, magical groves and celebrate the Folk Tree and its importance to our seasonal rituals and celebrations. Sing to the trees, the creatures who live in them and celebrate the incredible ways they communicate with each other.
Kelsey is a singer-songwriter whose latest single ‘Nymphs’ was released on Dimple Discs Bandcamp in February. She also leads ‘Folk Tree’ folk and nature choir in her home town of Penzance, Cornwall.
No singing experience needed, just a willingness to have a go and have fun! Songs will be learnt by ear. You are also welcome to come and just listen.
There will be a few minutes' break during the workshop, so feel free to bring along a snack or something to drink
This event is outdoors, so please dress appropriately. If it's rainy, we can sing under a big tree. If the forecast is awful, we may postpone, so make sure you register, otherwise we can't keep you informed.
Meet us in the centre of the park at What 3 Words goals.blur.meals
This free event is open to all ages!
Kelsey is a Singing Leader and Singer-Songwriter based in Penzance who released her solo album ‘Lethowsow’ on Dimple Discs last year:
