About this Event
Many of us dream of using less chemicals on our skin and hair, but feel overwhelmed with how to actually move away from them. Our skin is our largest organ in our body and often is the first sign that shows our internal stress and imbalances.
Come explore the world of natural skincare at Hawk Creek Farm with Emelina, community herbalist, Hawk Creek Farm Land Ambassador, and creator of La ChupaRosa Espinoza, a locally-based beauty brand for sensitive-skinned humans.
In this 2-hour class Emelina will guide you on how to start your natural skincare journey in a way that feels accessible and realistic.
You will learn about plants that can be used for skin and haircare and grown right here in San Francisco, including Hawk Creek Farm. You’ll also make and apply an easy healing clay face mask that is great for all skin types from mature, to sensitive, oily, even teen skin. Plus you’ll get an introduction to the world of gentle plant-based moisture through La ChupaRosa Espinoza’s hydrosols and oils.
Participate in a grounding meditation with the earth as part of this offering and leave feeling empowered and ready to care for your skin the way our ancestors did - with earth, flowers, oil and water.
This offering is for adults of all genders.
