Join the Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space Department, along with Muscle Powered, for a celebration of trails at Ambrose Carson River Natural Area on Saturday, June 6th, from 9:00am-11:00am, in honor of National Trails Day. The celebration will include a guided hike with discussions about the Carson River, including its history in the community, the critical watershed, floodplains, plants, and wildlife. This event will feature the Carson Water Subconservancy District and River Wranglers, offering kid-friendly activities. National Trails Day is celebrated annually on the first Saturday in June to promote hiking and the importance of trails in communities.
