Tahsin Ahmed, the facilitator, is a Cambridge-based professional with over a decade of experience in sustainability, climate, and human rights. She currently serves as Strategy Lead at a pioneering Climate Tech company, where she develops innovative approaches to unlock capital towards advancing global climate goals.😄
Alongside her professional career, Tahsin is the founder of Nakshi Stitch, a grassroots social enterprise rooted in Bangladesh. For the past eight years, she has dedicated her personal resources to empowering marginalized women artisans through traditional Nakshi Kantha embroidery and storytelling. By promoting slow, handmade homeware, Nakshi Stitch creates sustainable livelihoods, preserves cultural heritage, and enables women to rise above economic hardship. The enterprise not only provides financial independence but also addresses broader social challenges such as gender inequality and access to education for girls in rural communities.✨
Through her dual roles in international climate strategy and grassroots social enterprise, Tahsin embodies a commitment to systems change working both globally and locally to advance sustainability, equity, and opportunity.
Deeply rooted in the values of ethical consumption, we hope to share with you this workshop that beautifully weaves together creativity, ethical living, and the spirit of community in Islam.⭐
