YOU ARE INVITED to wander into a magical & mystical world of myth created by PBTO, where humanoid creatures fly, heroes face dragons, and anything is possible. Meet fairies, mer-people, forgotten deities, women of the underworld, alchemists, and cyborgs and hear their tales, see their dances, feel their voices. Dress up as your favourite mythical creature, legendary character, god, goddess, or devil - or create a being that expresses your own personal mythology - and come play in our playground.

For the first time ever, after producing ten immersive cabarets since late 2023, we are doing two nights of our theme-specific immersive cabaret; this means that we can feature a different lineup of performers each night!
Each night will transport you to eras and spaces when Dragons roamed the earth and sirens enchanted sailors.
Darlings, you are welcome to come one or both nights. We would love to see you both nights, so you don't miss a thing, and as such are offering discounted package tickets for those of you who wish to live out the entire legendary and mythical experience with us.
Only available one night? Fear not fair folk, there are ticket options for one night only, and we will be so happy to see you.
We want to escape the post-new-year January blues by creating a prism of stunning performances and intimate experiences, and we want to share them with you.
Our Lineup
Over the last year, the Poetry Brothel Toronto has been working diligently to gather some of the best performing poets and variety performers Toronto has to offer. Ordinarily we do one-night-only shows, but this time around, with the help of the International Palace of Joy, we are thrilled to be able to offer two nights of Myths and Legends.

We believe in making poetry accessible, which means our productions are performance-focused (you will never see our poets reading off a phone) and we focus each show on a maximum of five poets. Having two nights means we can feature four or five different poets each night! That's why we are offering "FULL EXPERIENCE" ticket bundles to this show. We truly believe it will be worth your time to see both nights.
The only repeat performance you can expect to see both nights is a Siren Burlesque act by the incomparable Starlotte Satine, a performance we guarantee you do not want to miss.
What is a Poetry Brothel?
The Poetry Brothel Toronto (PBTO) is part of a global network of Poetry Brothel Immersive Literary Cabarets begun by the Poetry Society of New York. These are spaces where Poetry, music, magic, and various forms of art collide to create intimate experiences of art and poetry for audiences. Unlike digital forms of entertainment, this space is focussed on the immediacy of here and now - and nothing you experience at a Poetry Brothel can be mistaken for something created by artificial intelligence. PBTO is proud to produce original work created by local artists of their own authentic intelligence.
The "Brothel" component of the experience comes through the opportunity to solicit poets for a private reading after the stage show. During our intermission and after the show you can purchase a poker chip from our front of house person or the Madame. Offer this chip to the poet of your choice, and they will lead you to a separate room and share and intimate reading of their poetry with you. More details on this can be explored here.
It is important to note that our poets do not perform sexual acts, and our productions value consent-based interactions and safe spaces. The purpose of the private reading space is to allow attendees to experience poetry in an intimate interpersonal setting.
