About this Event
Epping Forest is a nationally significant landscape, spanning over 6,000 acres of ancient woodland shaped by centuries of human use and care. The forest is home to historic oak and beech trees—many pollarded since medieval times—offering a living connection to traditional woodland management and commoning practices.
On this guided walk, you’ll explore the rich natural and cultural heritage of the forest, learn how people have interacted with this landscape over generations, and enjoy time outdoors while connecting with others.
This is a moderate walk. Please dress appropriately for winter conditions and wear sturdy, waterproof footwear, as paths can be muddy at this time of year.
