About this Event
Mullet Academy works to even the playing field for musicians. Some of Amsterdam’s most beloved venue owners, music teachers, event organisers, lawyers, and fellow artists teach you all you need to know to start your music career the right way.
Lincoln Lim gives you a realistic rundown of working in music, telling you how he’s shaped his own international, decade-spanning career. Next, your favourite booker Bandgurl shares how she’s flown from across the world and sold out shows in Amsterdam’s most beloved underground venues, and the do’s and don’t’s of scoring a gig.
Next, Isabel and Xandra join us from PlusOne Legal, the small but mighty law firm representing your favourite DJs and events, including none other than ADE. They know the legal stuff can be scary, but they’re here to demystify it for you, while telling you all the mistakes to avoid before it’s too late.
Finally, Sven Ross answers all questions you may have. He’s a musician and event organiser who’s got three EPs and millions of streams under his belt, all done completely independently.
But wait, there’s more! The day ends with a round of speed-dating for you to personally pitch something to the speakers, ask more in-depth questions, or explore collaboration ideas.
All this: 5 speakers, networking, career insight, and community building for only €30. When your career starter pack costs less than a new t-shirt, it really is a no-brainer.
