Movie Loft visits the doctor this June at Shadowbox Studio for a screening of the 1987 farce 'Critical Condition'! Richard Pryor stars as Kevin, a framed con who has a shot at going free by claiming insanity yet is confused for a doctor amidst a storm at a hospital. Director Michael Apted (Nell, Coal Miner's Daughter, the 7 Up series, etc. etc.) helmed this "comedy of epidemic proportions" with a cast also including Rubén Blades, Rachel Ticotin, Joes Mategna & Dallesandro, and Bob Saget! [In 2026 Movie Loft will be showcasing some perhaps under-seen movies that were filmed primarily and prominently in the Old North State (along with a couple of dips below our state's southern border, and many filmed in both). 'Critical Condition' was primarily shot at High Point Regional Hospital, along with further filming in neighboring Winston-Salem and Greensboro.]
