Celebrate 10 years of Ishti Collective with Movements of Many — a free 3-day outdoor, family-friendly performance experience across Chicago parks in July 2026!
Enjoy an evening of dance performances, communal rangoli crafts, local makers, food vendors, and community activities in a vibrant mela-like atmosphere full of movement, creativity, and connection.
Over the last decade, Ishti has grown into a collective shaped by many movement traditions and artistic backgrounds. Movements of Many celebrates this journey through performances featuring: Ishti 's repertoire Seen/Unseen (2025) and A new piece developed during a July workshop intensive, Bharatanatyam by internationally acclaimed artist Sarmishtha Sarkar, live sound performance by long time collaborator Bob Garrett and A BollyX dance party open to all!
Bring your blankets, chairs, and picnic snacks to enjoy these free performances under the summer sky with family, friends, and neighbors!

Movements of Many is presented as part of the Chicago Park District’s Night Out in the Parks series, supported by the Mayor’s Office and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events.
