Join Heidi for an evening of floor movement, inversions and open-ended partnering at the edge of contact improvisation and acroyoga. This open-level workshop aims to be accessible to a variety of movement backgrounds and experience levels, however it will be helpful to come experienced with acro moves such as :
- Solo : Wall-supported handstand, push-ups
- L-base : side stars, shoulderstands, walkovers
- Standing acro : thigh stand, 2-high
Over the course of 3 hours we will build our responsiveness for moving into and out of the floor, orient ourselves upside down as we pass through supported and unsupported handstands, and tap into corporal listening as we share- and bear- weight with partners. You'll be given frameworks, and leeway to play within boundaries. The goal is a stimulating somatic practice where 'partnering' is practiced with ourselves and the floor, as well as other humans.

Heidi is an architect-turned movement artist-educator with roots in ashtanga, acroyoga, slackline and contact improvisation. She has performed with Cirque Eloize, Cirque Branché, Special events with 7 Fingers, and has crossed two record-length highlines spanning 2km each.
Teaching is a form of co-creation for Heidi, with each workshop being a unique expression of the particular circumstances, environment and people that are present. The contents will bend and shift accordingly which, for Heidi, constitutes the aliveness of working with the living arts.
