About this Event
Welcome to the Monument City Mutual Aid Fair!
The Mutual Aid Fair is a modern-day mutual aid gathering grounded in the legacy of the Black Panther Party’s 1970s Survival Conferences. It is not just a resource fair - it is a call to action, a community stand for self-determination, solidarity, and collective care in the face of increasing state neglect and authoritarian overreach that has stripped us, our friends, and our neighbors of the critical support and resources we need to thrive.
The fair will offer:
- Survival programs, such as reproductive justice, housing support, legal aid, food banks, and more
- Workshops and political education, such as voter registration, digital self-defense, nonviolent intervention, know your rights training, and mutual aid pods
- Culture, art, and healing practices
- and more
This event prioritizes care and community, and support will be on-site to ensure safety, dignity, and respect for all participants. While we request RSVPs so we can track expected attendee interest, there is no obligation to provide any identifiable information.
This event is on a ground floor and ADA accessible. There is limited parking in the neighborhood and we encourage attendees to take public transportation.
