Unveiling the Hidden Legacy of Hobo Monikers' Impact on Global Street Art and Graffiti Culture
STRAAT Museum presents a remarkable group show featuring hobo moniker artworks. This exhibition is curated by Moniker Art supported by Moniker Foundation of London (UK) and with the cooperation of Massillon Museum of Ohio (US). The exhibition spotlights iconic moniker tradition artists buZ Blurr Bill Daniel and other visionary contributors.
Moniker: An Origin Story explores the captivating history and significant influence of hobo monikers on street art and graffiti culture. Trailblazing artists buZ Blurr and Bill Daniel take center stage showcasing original works and iconic photographs. The exhibition also features 37 boxcar steel panels on loan from Massillon Museum showcasing unique moniker artworks from other important moniker tradition artists and characters.
Opening reception on Saturday March 9th 2024 from 6-9 PM with live music from LEADBEATERS band and a screening of the film, Who is Bozo Texino. Open to the public from Sunday March 10th thru Sunday April 28th 2024 during regular STRAAT opening hours. Admission to the gallery exhibition is included with a regular guest ticket.
The exhibition extends into the museum's main hall featuring a colossal photo by Bill Daniel of buZ Blurr in the permanent collection.
