On the wintry Mongolian steppes, Saina's dual life as a herdsman and horseback performer unravels as he grapples with the dissolution of the traditional way of life.
Director Jiang Xiaoxuan’s debut film, explores and examines the intersection of traditional horse culture, modern identity and Mongolian masculinity. Inspired by the life of horseback performer Saina - who portrays himself - the narrative blends personal history with documented events from local horse fairs.
