About this Event

Before the break, there is always a moment.

Huruma Inter-Mersion is a thoughtfully curated two-part experience exploring the moments in our lives that quietly build, simmer, and eventually reach a boiling point—sometimes resulting in emotional overwhelm, burnout, or a mental break.

This event centers on the lived experiences of both men and women navigating life-shaping transitions such as family planning, fertility challenges, pregnancy, childbirth, parenting, relationship shifts, and the often-unspoken pressures that accompany them. These moments are deeply personal, yet widely shared—and too often carried in silence.

Inter-Mersion intentionally combines conversation and movement, recognising that emotional strain is held not only in the mind, but also in the body.

Part One: The Moment Before the Break

The first part of the experience is a guided, reflective discussion focused on the “before” moments—the subtle stressors, expectations, and emotional loads that accumulate over time.

Together, we create a safe and compassionate space to:

  • Explore moments that contribute to emotional and mental strain
  • Reflect on how men and women may experience and internalise pressure differently
  • Share, listen, and feel seen without judgement
  • Normalise conversations around mental health, life transitions, and vulnerability

This is not a lecture or a therapy session. It is an intentional pause—a chance to name what we carry before it becomes too heavy.

Part Two: HIIT Strength Release Session (40 minutes)

The second part of Inter-Mersion transitions from reflection into physical release through a 40-minute HIIT strength workout, led by Huruma’s qualified and experienced sports therapists.

This is not a generic fitness class. Each session is carefully curated and adaptable, with exercises designed to support participants at different stages of physical ability, life transition, and emotional capacity. Huruma’s therapists bring a deep understanding of how stress, trauma, and prolonged pressure manifest in the body.

The movement experience focuses on:

  • Releasing stored tension and stress
  • Building strength in a safe, supportive way
  • Reconnecting with the body after periods of emotional or physical strain
  • Empowerment through intentional movement, not punishment

Modifications are offered throughout, ensuring the class is inclusive, grounding, and challenging in a way that supports—not overwhelms. The aim is to leave feeling stronger, lighter, and more connected.

Huruma Inter-Mersion is an invitation to reflect, release, and reconnect—mind and body.

If you have ever felt close to a breaking point, carried pressure silently, or wished there was space to talk about that part of life, this experience is for you.
Let’s talk about it. Then let’s move through it—together.
