MOLECULAR DANCE Butoh Workshop in Berlin

All cells in our body consist of atoms bonded together. These bonds are in constant transformation, change, break, rejoin, in an eternal dance, made possible by space and energy. Human existence relies on connections and exchanges too. To understand these connections, we need space and silence, allowing us to sense life's dance.
This workshop explores innovative ways to create personal movement, emphasizing the spaces and stillness between movements and within our bodies.
Guided explorations with concrete and abstract imagery help us discover new interactions with space and others.
The silence between movements is the door opener of new possibilities.
Each individual is a beautiful and unique form of life, interconnected with everything. Let's discover our unique qualities and movements and share them as gifts with others, strengthening the ties that unite us.
This workshop offers interesting tools for performers, dancers, actors, movers, artists, and researchers of movement and "subtle worlds".
It is suitable for both professional artists and amateurs or beginners with the curiousity to explore new realms.

Maruska Ronchi is a dancer and choreographer.
Graduated in Contemporary Dance, she met Butoh in 2009 with Atsushi Takenouchi. She studied under his guidance for 14 year becoming his assistant in the Butoh School in Italy where she could practice deeply, learning and teaching. She met other important butoh master as Yumiko Yoshioka, Yoshito Ohno, Minako Seki, Seisaku, Carlotta Ikeda, Ima Tenko, Natsu Nakajima,Semimaru (Sankai Yuku) Imre Tohrman, Masaki Iwana, among others.
She present her works all over the world, in Canada, Japan and Europe, in the theatre, in unconvetional places and in many festival as Hokkaido Butoh Festival (Sapporo, Japan), Ee chair et en sons (Paris, France), Butohresque Festival (Vienna, Austria), Ex..it (Broellin, Germany), Butohpolis (Warsaw, Poland), Kulturelle Landpartie (Hitzaker, Germany), Singing our Place (Aarus, Denmark).
