Modern Calligraphy for Beginners

Are you a bride-to-be (or a bridesmaid) thinking about DIY wedding invitations? Or maybe you're always down to learn a new skill or develop a new creative hobby. Then this fun and relaxed workshop is for you! We will gather a small group of people who, like you, are interested in learning the art of modern calligraphy. In this course for beginners, we will learn about the tools needed, warm-up exercises, lowercase and uppercase modern calligraphy letterforms, and connecting letters to form words.

All participants will receive:

• three hours of instruction

• a kit including a dip pen holder, nib, pot of ink, and paper

• an instructional packet with guide sheets and exemplar sheets to take home

• access to future feedback on your progress

• light refreshments and snacks

Tallulah Ketubahs Studio is located in the beautiful Design Church in East Falls Philadelphia. This historic building is, unfortunately, not accessible and the space can only be accessed by climbing 3 flights of stairs.
