Miniature Ceramics on the Wheel
Meets on Tuesday May 12th, 19th, and 26th from 5:30 - 8:30 pm
Unlock your creativity in our hands-on Miniature Wheel Throwing Ceramics class! Designed for both beginners and seasoned potters, this three-session course focuses on the art of crafting small-scale pottery on a mini wheel. You’ll learn essential wheel-throwing techniques tailored to working on a miniature scale.
In session one you'll learn the basics of wheel operation, clay preparation, and throwing techniques for crafting miniature bowls, vases, and cups. In session two, you’ll have the chance to refine your pieces, learn about trimming excess clay, and add intricate details before your pieces are ready for the kiln.
In the third session you will use underglazes to decorate your work for the final glaze firing. By the end of the course, you'll have created several unique, hand-thrown miniature pottery pieces to take home. All materials and tools are provided, and no prior experience is necessary.
Join us and discover the joy of crafting tiny works of art on the potter’s wheel!
