About this Event
Special meditation session, all are invited - don't miss our special guests!
Grant Park Meditation Atlanta Wednesday night May 6 is led by two charismatic American nuns (including former Atlanta resident and Agnes Scott College professor) coming to us from Sravasti Abbey, a Buddhist monastery in the Tibetan tradition in the Pacific Northwest. Venerables Thubten Damcho and Thubten Rinchen will lead guided meditation and Dharma talk on cultivating love and compassion in our busy lives!
Everyone is welcome to practice mindfulness and feel the joy in our hearts.
The nuns will also give a talk Thursday night May 7 at 7pm at Drepung Loseling Monastery near Brookhaven, and lead the Georgia Buddhist Camp May 8 - 10.
Tuesday night June 30 is with one of the Walk for Peace monks, Atlanta's very own Venerable Phra Ajarn Maha Dam Phommasan from Wat Lao Buddha Khanti, who lost his leg during the trip to raise awareness for peace and kindness.
