🥾 10 miles 🥾 Moderate 🥾 Leader: Stevie 🥾We start the walk going past the impressive Tudor country house of Temple Newsam, through its extensive parkland and into woodland which with a bit of luck will be carpeted with bluebells 🪻. This takes us to Skelton Lakes country park, a haven for waterfowl 🪿 in land reclaimed from a former mine working, and on to the banks of the Aire & Calder Navigation canal where we will stop for lunch, and may see some rowers 🚣🏻 on the water.
After lunch, we return to Temple Newsam by way of The Avenue, the long driveway giving a great view of the house, and then past the fishponds to the riotous colours of the Rhododendron walk 🌺
