On 10th May, I’ll be running the Rob Burrows Leeds Marathon in memory of my beautiful son, Oliver James.Oliver was sadly stillborn at 28 weeks, almost 14 years ago, and not a day goes by that he isn’t in my thoughts. For that reason, I’m running in support of SANDS, a charity that is incredibly close to my heart and one that offers vital support to families who experience the unimaginable loss of a baby.
This marathon is more than just a run for me. It’s a way to honour Oliver, to raise awareness, and to give something back to a charity that helps so many parents through the darkest of times.
Any donation, no matter how small, would truly mean the world to me and will help SANDS continue their amazing work supporting bereaved families and improving care around baby loss.
