About this Event
This is not your typical event.
MenTorN Oakland is a powerful, multi-sensory experience that brings together film, live art, and real conversations to explore mentorship, mental health, and the impact of lived experience—especially for those who come from trauma, adversity, and systems that were never designed for them to win.
Led by Armand King, mentor, author of the MenTorN book, and founder of Walk With Me Impact, alongside Master Artist Demitrius Harrison, this experience blends storytelling, visual art, and raw dialogue to create a space that is honest, reflective, and transformational.
This is for those who:
• Work with youth or underserved communities
• Have lived through trauma and are still finding their way
• Are committed to growth, healing, and becoming better for others
• Believe mentorship and mental health conversations need to be real—not surface level
What to Expect:
• Film screening and storytelling experience
• Live art by Master Artist Demitrius Harrison
• Authentic panel conversation on mentorship and mental health
• Community reflection and open dialogue
• Book release and signing of the MenTorN book
This experience may include sensitive and emotionally impactful topics. Attendees are encouraged to come with an open mind and heart.
