Menopause Awareness Training for Managers

An in-depth course for Managers that offers the tools for Managers to support employees through the menopause.
About this Event

As part of a collaborative project with the four other Minds in Greater Manchester, Stockport & District Mind is running FREE Menopause Awareness Training to support employees, volunteers and managers of small to medium-sized enterprises (SME’s) across Stockport and the rest of Greater Manchester.

An SME is any organisation that has fewer than 250 employees and a turnover of less than 50 million or a balance sheet total less than 43 million.

Our 2 hour* Menopause Awareness for Managers course is aimed at those who manage others and aims to provide delegates with the knowledge to support their employees as they navigate the menopause journey.

By attending this workshop, you can increase your confidence in providing support, discussing the menopause appropriately and sensitively, and discovering how to make the workplace a more welcoming place for those who are experiencing symptoms related to the menopause.

The course covers:

· Menopause myth busting

· Signs and symptoms

· The effect of hormones

· The impact of the menopause on the workplace

· Managers and employer’s legal responsibilities

· How to create a menopause friendly workplace

· How to hold appropriate and supportive conversations

* The course additionally includes a 1 hour pre-learning module, that offers the tools for Managers to support employees through the Menopause
