Start your 2025 with an extraordinary journey through Philadelphia’s past. LMHS is thrilled to invite its members to explore an extraordinary collection of historical artifacts with one of Lower Merion Township’s most distinguished historians, Page Talbott, Ph.D. Join us for the unique experience of learning about our vibrant city from Dr. Talbott through artifacts celebrating Philly sports, music, manufacturing, art, and more.
Dr. Talbott is Chief Curator of this major exhibition reflecting 350 years of Philadelphia history. The exhibition features more than 600 authentic artifacts from the Atwater Kent Collection, housed at Drexel University, which documents the city's rich historical legacy.
We will meet in the lobby of PAFA’s Hamilton Building (128 North Broad Street, Philadelphia) at 11AM on Sunday, February 9, 2025.
LMHS members pay only PAFA admission of $15 (adults) or $12 (seniors and students with ID) - the tour is a benefit of your LMHS membership. The tour is anticipated to last about an hour, but LMHS members are encouraged to remain and enjoy the rest of the amazing Hamilton Building exhibitions until the museum closes at 5PM. Dr. Talbott will remain available in the gallery to answer questions until 1PM.
