π΅ About Mike Compton + Laura Boosinger
Grammy-winning mandolinist Mike Compton has performed and recorded with artists from Sting, Gregg Allman and Elvis Costello to bluegrass legends John Hartford, Ralph Stanley, Doc Watson and Peter Rowan, and contributed to the O Brother, Where Art Thou? Soundtrack.
Banjo virtuoso Laura Boosinger, a student and teacher of Appalachian music, has played with the Luke Smathers Band, David Holt and the Lightning Bolts and the Midnight Plowboys, and champions traditional Appalachian singing and shaped-note music at festivals and workshops across Western North Carolina.
Together as The Knackered Ramblers, they bring their mastery, passion, and love of American traditional music to a flawless, heartfelt duo performance.

Returning to Melville Summer Music for their second year, Bluegrass Parkway are not only a Melville favourite, but one of Australiaβs most loved bluegrass bands.
Bluegrass Parkway have been bringing authentic bluegrass music to Perthβs music scene since the 1980s, with great picking, strong harmonies and fancy footwork. The band has toured widely across Australia and the United States and played a big role in introducing many Perth audiences to bluegrass music.
