As winter sets in and the longest night draws near, Melville Midwinter invites you to gather by the shores of Dyoondalup Point Walter on Saturday, 20 June from 5.00pm to celebrate the Noongar season of Makuru and the unruly beauty of winter.
Experience a free, family-friendly evening of music, dance, poetry, shadow puppetry and more, with performances from acclaimed WA artists including Peter Bibby, Carla Geneve, Nelson Mondlane and Emily Barker, all unfolding under the cool night sky in a warm, fire-lit celebration of community, art and connection.

⏰ Event Times:
5.00pm | Arrive before sunset to purchase a mug of hearty soup, and enjoy free hot drinks, fireside roasted marshmallows and roving performances by the river.
6.00pm | Make your way up onto the hill to wander through a trail of wonderfully strange performance stations.
7.00pm | Return to the foreshore for a finale performance.
