Get into the festive spirit with a visit to see Santa at Southside.
Enjoy festive crafts with our Christmas Elves and decorate your own bauble before heading to see Santa in his cosy cabin. Each child will also receive a free, age appropriate gift to keep the festive spirit flowing!
The experience will last approx. 30 minutes.

Admittance to The Southside Grotto is permitted only with a valid e-ticket
Where is the event situated?
The Southside Grotto can be found on the First Floor. The First Floor can be accessed via the lift and escalators next to Waitrose.
How much are the tickets online?
The cost for the tickets to The Southside Grotto is £6 per child, plus an Eventbrite transaction fee of £1.21 per ticket. Each child can be accompanied by 2 adults at no charge.
What age range is the event suitable for?
The Southside Grotto at Southside Shopping Centre is suitable for children aged 0-10 years.
Who provides the ticketing service?
The Eventbrite online booking system for The Southside Grotto is managed by Iced Gem Events
What does the entry fee include?
The £6 entry fee will include a 30 minute experience where children can decorate a Christmas bauble, meet Santa in his grotto and they will receive 1 free gift.
Will there be tickets available on the day?
Limited walk-in slots will be available on a first come, first served basis at a cost of £6 per child.
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive 10 minutes before you allotted time.
What time slots are available to book?
The available time slots are:
11am -11.30am
11.45am – 12.15pm
12.30pm – 1pm
1.45pm-2.15pm
2.30pm-3pm
3.15pm-3.45pm
4pm-4.30pm
These time slots are available on the following dates only: 30th November, 1st December, 7th December, 8th December, 14th December, 15th December, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th December 2024.

SEND Sessions- Sundays in December only – additional time slot - 10.15am-10.45am
Our dedicated SEND sessions will run at a reduced capacity for up to 30 minutes and will provide a calm environment for customers to enjoy the experience. Please email us via [email protected] to notify us of any support you need to attend the event.
Do children need to be accompanied by an adult?
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times – with a maximum of 4 children per adult. Maximum of two adults per party.
What happens if the event is cancelled?
Southside Shopping Centre will not be liable in any way if The Southside Grotto is required to close due to any factors that are beyond their control. This included Acts of God, power failure and flooding.
Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Are food and drink permitted at the event?
Food and drink is not permitted within The Southside Grotto.
Is there a space to keep my personal belongings?
Patrons must ensure that personal belongings are kept with them at all times.
Southside Shopping Centre cannot accept responsibility for loss of possessions on the premises.
Is smoking permitted?
The Southside Grotto and Southside Shopping Centre is a non-smoking area.
