A gripping drama about a young couple trapped in their new home on the eve of Russia’s invasion, forced to confront both the struggle for survival and the fragility of love under siege.
Set on 23 February 2022, on the outskirts of Kyiv, Honeymoon follows Taras and Olya as they celebrate their first night in a new apartment. At dawn, explosions shatter their world, and Russian troops turn their building into a military headquarters. Cut off from electricity, water, and communication, the couple finds themselves trapped in their own home, uncertain if Ukraine even still exists. Over the next five days, they navigate the stark realities of survival while confronting the intimate depths of their relationship and the existential questions that arise under mortal danger.
