Week 1: Editing Fundamentals and File Management Focus

In the first week, immerse yourself in the world of DaVinci Resolve. Be introduced to editing workflows and tools. Set up a project and learn to assemble a rough cut of a scene.

Week 2: Refining the Edit and Storytelling

Delve deeper into the art of editing and understand how editorial choices affect story and tone. Shape performance and rhythm by using transitions, titles, fine cutting techniques, and trimming to restructure scenes.

Week 3: Colour Grading for Mood and Meaning

This week create a colour grade and learn to change the feel of a scene using colour. Apply corrections, contrast, colour temperature and saturation, while matching shots within a scene.

Week 4: Sound Design, Music and Final Delivery

In the final week put the finishing touches on your project, bringing it to life by cleaning up dialogue, adding sound effects and music. Learn to apply final checks and export the polished product for different platforms.
