About this Event
Gratitude isn't just something we feel, it's something we can gather, hold, and return to. In this hands-on workshop, you'll transform an old book into a personal container for gratitude using collage, found poetry, pocket-making, and simple stitching.
Autumn is a season of harvest and reflection, making it the perfect time to create a practice around what nourishes us. You'll learn to alter book pages by revealing words, layering images, and creating pockets to tuck moments, memories, or reminders of joy. This isn't just an art object, it's a tool you can continue working on, adding when gratitude flows easily, and revisiting when you need a gentle reminder.
What you'll learn:
- Found poetry, collage, pocket-making, simple stitching techniques
- How to transform a book into a creative practice tool
What you'll create: Your own unique altered book to use as an ongoing gratitude practice.
