Double, double toil and trouble. Fire burn and caldron bubble. Red Rum Theatre will put a spell on you. Come out for a night with the Sanderson Sisters as Without a Cue Productions conjures up the Hocus Pocus Speakeasy.
America's only M**der mystery theatre and bar invites you to stay for a spell - or the entire month of October - for a new Halloween pop-up and cocktail experience.
Slip past the velvet curtain and step into a world of secret passwords, candlelit corners, and intoxicating experiences. Tucked away inside Philadelphia’s Red Rum Theater, The Speakeasy is a pop-up bar like no other — a moody, intimate hideaway designed for one-night-only themed cocktail adventures.
Each event transforms the space into a new world — from witchy potion-making nights to glamorous noir heists — pairing hand-crafted cocktails with live entertainment, interactive performances, and just the right touch of mystery.
During October look for:
- A Wickedly Fabulous Setting – Step into a decked-out lair dripping with spooky Hocus Pocus vibes, perfect for a night of mischief.
- Songs to Put a Spell on You – Each Sanderson Sister belts out a number from the cult classic, serving equal parts vocals and vamp.
- Cocktails With a Cackle – After each performance, mix up a themed potion right alongside the sisters—cheeky toasts encouraged.
- Naughty Party Games – Hilariously irreverent contests with ridiculous prizes that will have the whole room cackling.
- A Boozy, Bewitching Escape – Ninety minutes of sass, spirits, and spell-casting chaos you won’t want to miss.
JOIN OUR COVEN
You and a guest are invited to a special media preview of the Hocus Pocus Speakeasy and the Hocus Pocus Cocktail Experience. Look for a musical number by the Sanderson sisters; a saucy interactive game led by Sarah full of twists and turns; a potion making lesson led by Mary; a final serenade by the sisters before enjoying samples of Sarah's and Winnie's signature cocktails (provided by Popp's McCann) and a themed cupcake (made by one of Without A Cue's own talented performers AND bakers, Cara Cirillo) as the ladies pose for photo ops throughout the decked-out space.
Beware the witching hour with TWO experience times - arrive at 6pm or 8pm. Select your time at checkout when you register. Come in costume for a take-hour souvenir. Bonus for costumes inspired by the movies themselves.

ENTRANCE
Red Rum Theater is Philadelphia's only event space and theater dedicated to the art of M**der mysteries. The Theatre is located at the Curtis Building - just down the hall from Aversa PR's other client, PJ Clarke's!
For easy access, please go to the 7TH STREET SIDE of the Curtis Building and check in at security and they will instruct you how to find the theater door down the hall.
