MCR Mouth Cancer Awareness 10k Walk

The Manchester dental societies will be holding a 10k charity walk to raise awarness for Mouth Cancer. The Mouth Cancer Foundation is a charity set up to raise awareness and promote its early detection, as well as supporting those affected by it.

Last year over 3 600 lives were lost due to Mouth Cancer, with 650 000 affected worldwide. The charity also works to teach medical professionals how to carry out thorough head and neck examinations and gives advice on living with this disease for family, friends and carers.

This walk is in collaboration with: Women in Dentistry Society, MDSS, MPDSS, MUDRSoc, MODs and Morthosoc.

All money raised will be donated to charity and all participants will receive a T-shirt prior to the walk.
