James Johnstone studied in London and The Hague with Jill Severs and Ton Koopman respectively. He has performed throughout Europe and North and South America and recorded solo CDs of Bach, Gibbons, Pasquini, Couperin and Cornet as well as numerous other recordings. He teaches early keyboards in London at the Royal Academy of Music, the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and Trinity Laban.
