About this Event
This special dance is hosted with live music provided by our resident organist, Aubrey Robinson – the perfect opportunity for you to enjoy your favourite dances and learn a few new ones. The welcoming atmosphere provides the perfect to meet with friends, old and new, for a great social gathering.
We mix sequence, ballroom and latin and Aubrey is more than happy to accommodate any requests you have as well as playing some of the country’s favourite dances like the Rumba One, Saunter Together and Mayfair Quickstep. He will perform a mixture of songs from the 1920s to modern day – perfect for having a sing-a-long while you dance.
Over the years the dances have been held in a number of different locations throughout Yorkshire, including Leeds, Rotherham, Sheffield and Harrogate. Then, in 2020, we went online with Aubrey providing a live virtual dance every week that helped keep us all entertained for 18 months, with some of the streamed videos receiving over 40,000 views!
