Join us for a Matilda workshop with West End performer Sam Holden! In this 90-minute session, students will learn original choreography from the smash-hit musical directly from one of its cast members.
Sam is Assistant Dance Captain and Swing in the current UK and Ireland tour of Matilda and is coming to The Dance Shed to run this exciting workshop for students aged 8 – 16 years bringing first-hand experience of this much-loved show.
Get ready to learn the song and choreography from the showstopping number ‘Revolting Children’ and take part in a Q&A with Sam who will also be sharing behind-the-scenes stories from his time in Matilda and other productions, as well as insights into life on the West End stage. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to learn, perform, and connect with a true industry professional!
Since graduating from Laine Theatre Arts, Sam has appeared in Bliss the Musical, Funny Girl (workshops); Hamilton (Victoria Palace); The Cher Show, White Christmas (UK Tour); The Best of the West End (Royal Albert Hall); Blonde the Musical (The Duchess, Nottingham); Dick Whittington (Bristol Hippodrome); Time Flies (Theatre Royal Drury Lane). His film credits are Dr Strange (Marvel Studios); PAN, Tulip Fever, Les Misérables (Feature Film).
Our Matilda workshop is not just limited to current students, they are open to all with permission from your principal. Whether you’re looking to explore a new interest or further develop your skills, this is the perfect opportunity to get involved in the opportunities we offer at The Dance Shed.
