The Masterpieces Art Competition and Exhibition presented by Contemporary Art Spaces Mandurah (CASM) is an annual event in which local artists aged between 12 and 25 years of age are presented with an opportunity to have their artwork exhibited in a professional gallery. In doing this, the gallery is able to exhibit a collection of artworks that explore the current interests and perspectives of the community's creative youths.The artworks may utilise a wide variety of mediums, including painting, drawing and digital media, and entries are judged across three separate age categories; 12-15yrs, 16-18yrs and 19-25yrs.
In addition to the main exhibition, the event also features the Junior Masterpieces program, which celebrates the talent and potential of Mandurah's budding artists aged 5-11 years. Selected artworks from these young artists will be showcased at Mandurah Museum, giving them the opportunity to have their work seen by a wider audience.
