Join us for a day of community care and improvement at the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service Clean-Up in Germantown! On Sunday, January 19th, from 10 AM to 1 PM (rain date: January 26th), we’ll come together to honor Dr. King’s legacy through service and teamwork.
Event Details:
- What: Community clean-up and garden bed assembly/painting!
- Where: Meet at the corner of 5700 Greene St, Philadelphia, PA 19144
- Who: Organized by I Love Thy Hood and Germantown United CDC in partnership with Weavers Way Co-op, Friends of Vernon Park, Maplewood Collective, Jeantel Landscaping and with support from the City of Philadelphia's PHL Taking Care of Business program.
We’ll be cleaning up the area and helping to put together garden beds that will enhance the community for local residents, commuters, shoppers and businesses. While some cleaning supplies will be provided, please bring your own broom, pail, and gloves if possible.(Parking is free along the street on Sundays in Germantown. Nearest Bus stops: H, XH, 26, 23, 55)
