Meet the first lot on the right after turning onto Lodge Rd and we will hike to the work area. Expect a 5-10 minute hike to the work area.Want to help improve trail conditions at Mt Airy Forest? We will be working on cutting invasive honeysuckle, and repairing trail tread.
Work gloves and pants are recommended and if you have any of the following tools please bring them with you:
- Loppers
- Hand Saw
- Shovel
- Heavy Duty Hoe
- Tamper
But don't worry if you don't have tools, we have plenty to share.
I would recommend bringing a water bottle, especially if you plan on being out there for the entire 3 hours. With that said, please work for as little or as long as you are able. Please keep in mind that during the winter months there are no bathrooms open in the Park.
