About this Event
Welcome to our Manchester Pub History Tour (central version)
Join Manchester tour guide Emma Fox on a leisurely urban walk visiting some of the city centre’s best loved and oldest drinking establishments. We’ll visit 3-4 traditional pubs, hear the story of each one and the local beers they serve.
Be ready for cosy atmospheres, bustling bars, stained glass, copper tables, juke boxes, table football, roaring fires and more.

Proposed schedule:
13:45 - Meeting, Manchester Central Library (outside front entrance)
14:00 - Tour starts
17:00 - Tour finishes, Manchester city centre (location tbc)
Tour guide: Emma Fox
Meeting location: Manchester Central Library, St Peter's Square, Manchester M2 5PD

Public transport: Our meeting location is adjacent to St Peter's Square tram stop which connects to the Metrolink and National Rail network
What to wear: This is Manchester and mid-November, you'll need to dress appropriately for the weather. Thankfully, we'll be planning to spend good sections of this 3 hour tour inside cosy boozers but in between, we'll be out and about. We can provide the loan of free umbrellas for the duration of the tour experience.
Dogs: Due to the intimate storytelling nature of the tour, we don't think dogs are suitable for this experience.
Refreshments: Not included. We'll look to organise our guests into similar "rounds" groups across the tour to make the pub stops slightly more efficient and help act as an ice-breaker.
