About this Event
Welcome to the Manchester Infection Conference!
We are pleased to announce the inaugural Manchester Infection Conference, to be held in Manchester on Thursday 10th September 2026. The conference will be hosted by Manchester Medical Microbiology Partnership (MMMP) in association with Manchester University NHS Foundation trust, The university of Manchester and UK Health Security Agency.
This one-day meeting will bring together clinicians, clinical scientists, academics, and public health professionals working across infection. The programme will highlight the work of regional and national colleagues, topics will include surveillance, pandemic preparation, antimicrobial resistance, novel molecular techniques, and sequencing.
The conference will also feature a poster session, providing an opportunity to showcase research and service developments. We invite colleagues to submit posters to be displayed during the meeting. Selected posters will be highlighted and the winning submission will be invited to deliver a short oral presentation at the end of the day.
Manchester is home to one of the largest integrated diagnostic microbiology and public health laboratory partnerships in the UK. This meeting aims to bring together colleagues working across NHS services, public health and academia to share experience and strengthen collaboration in infection science.
We hope you can join us in person for an engaging day packed with the latest insights, innovations, and discussions on infections. It's the perfect spot to connect, learn, and share ideas. Donβt miss out on this chance to be part of the buzz at this conference, right in the heart of Manchester!
