About this Event
This Brain ReTrain session focuses on emotional regulation and understanding how the nervous system influences mood, behaviour, and wellbeing.
Many people experience emotional highs and lows, overwhelm, anxiety, or shutdown without realising that these are often linked to how their nervous system is functioning. When the nervous system is dysregulated, even small challenges can feel unmanageable.
This session helps participants learn how to recognise and gently regulate these responses.
Through guided learning and practical exercises, we will explore:
- How emotions affect the nervous system
- The link between stress, anxiety, and physical symptoms
- Recognising signs of emotional overload
- Understanding fight, flight, freeze, and shutdown responses
- Learning grounding and calming techniques
- Developing emotional awareness and resilience
- Creating healthier stress responses
Participants will be introduced to simple, accessible tools that can be used in everyday life to reduce overwhelm and improve emotional balance.
You can expect:
- Practical regulation techniques
- Gentle guided exercises
- Supportive group discussion
- A calm, respectful environment
- Clear take-away strategies
This session is ideal for anyone who experiences anxiety, emotional exhaustion, mood swings, difficulty switching off, or feeling overwhelmed by life pressures.
By the end of the session, participants will feel more confident in managing their emotions and supporting their nervous system for long-term wellbeing.
