Enter the park at either West 67th Street and Central Park West or Fifth Avenue and 72nd Street.

Begin the walk at any time from the Start Line located in Naumburg Bandshell. We suggest you pick a meeting spot for your team and enter the park together. Meeting ½ hour prior to when you want to start walking may be beneficial. The main festival area is at the Naumburg Bandshell.

Sign up online for easy check-in on the day of the walk. All event participants (excluding children) need to register for the walk. If you do not register online prior to the event, please scan the QR codes, which will be displayed throughout the festival area to register. Registration is easy by using the Home page to create your Society Account and sign in. You can also register through the mobile app.

If you have registered online:

We will not have a check-in area. However, if you want to hand in your donation via cash, check or credit card, please visit the Donation tent located in the festival area.

If you have not registered online:

Please scan the QR code upon arrival to register and sign the waiver. We highly recommend registering for the event prior to the event to make your experience more seamless.

At Central Park, participants can start the walk from the start line located in the festival area near the Naumburg Bandshell. The walk is a 4 mile route through Central Park starting and ending at The Naumburg Bandshell.

We all walk together, but our event is not a race. Stop whenever you want or need to. You absolutely do not need to complete the entire walk if you are unable. The walk concludes when the final walker crosses the finish line.

FOR SURVIVORS, PREVIVORS, THRIVERS AND CAREGIVERS

What is a survivor? The American Cancer Society defines a survivor as anyone who has heard the words “you have cancer”, so if you are recently diagnosed, currently going through treatment, or are in remission, this tent is for you!

Survivors, Thrivers, and Previvors check-in at the Survivor/Thriver Tent when you arrive at The Namburg Bandshell. We highly encourage survivors to sign-up online before the event. The survivor area is a special area for survivors and the caregivers attending with them. We include both survivors and caregivers to make sure everyone is as comfortable as possible. You'll find important information about American Cancer Society programs and services geared specifically for you. In addition you can receive your complimentary 2023 survivor shirt and medals.

PLEASE NOTE....

If you are feeling sick or have been recently exposed to someone who recently tested positive for COVID-19, you should stay home. People who have underlying health conditions or taking medications that weaken the immune system, should talk to their healthcare provider before attending large gatherings.
