Making a Rope Bowl & TrivetInstructor: Scott Britt

Learn how to make a rustic rope bowl and trivet. Using either natural brown sisal rope or white cotton cord, make a beautiful Turks head bowl/trivet to take home that is heat resistant and will last for years! Learn the Turks head knot, whipping, splicing, and the history/property of rope. Sure to be the centerpiece of the table!
Skill Level: Beginner – No Experience Needed
Age: 14+
Registration: $50
Material Fee: $20 for natural rope or $14 for cotton rope - student choice

About the Instructor
Scott Britt is a board member of the Educational Non-profit IGKT-NA (International Board of Knot Tyers Guild North America). He has a day job as an Instrumentation Technician, traveling to all the beautiful dams around TN. He lives with his wife Mindy and three homeschooled boys in Knoxville, TN. He has written 4 books and has almost two decades of teaching experience.
